And so it goes

Hhhhmmmmm....where did I leave off? Oh yes, we met Jaimers in Edinburgh & watched fireworks our first night in the UK. Well then, let's get going. For the next 3 days we learned about Edinburgh, went to the castle, visited the underground, ate some amazing meals (a good portion vegetarian which made me superduperhappy),wandered around very old cemetaries, went to awesome divey bars & figured out the public trans system of the city. But really, the best way to explain would be through pictures (Jess & Mandy, there are tons more that I'll show you on Saturday night....if you can make it).

Up next....the last 35 miles of the West Highland Trail.

have you recovered from holidaying yet. i find for the first like year after you get back from a good holiday you find excuses to bring it into conversation.

like right now, when i'm going to say something that allows me to drop in my own holiday experience: i found edinburgh castle very expensive. so i didnt go. but i thought it looked beautiful at night.

HP: we went in but didn't take the tour. Yes, it was expensive but worth it so that we could say 'yeah we went into a castle'. I have to admit, though, that eff that castle stuff, I want a palace!!!

Yeah, the castle was a bit of a ripoff but fun & quite pretty. Unfortunately, they have it all set up without many signs so you kind of have to take the tour. Instead, we made up our own stories & walked around.
